Second Year is Not So Bad

When I am very close to the end of my second year’s first semester I can't avoid realising that it was not as bad as it sounded beforehand. Obviously, first year must have been a pretty good training for the following one. Although, I must admit that more than once already, I have found myself in a weird frame of mind. One of those times where you really need to have some strong will to get the job done. Continue reading →

First Year is Over

Hi all. My first year is over, in fact, it has been over for a while now. But I couldn’t avoid taking my mind out off ECS for a while. I must admit that even if it is supposed to be the easiest one, year one knew how to stress me out from time to time. Anyhow, I am happy to announce that I have not failed any module and I do not have to re-sit any exams. Therefore, I am half-way through my four-month summer vacation worrying about nothing. What Can I Say, I am a Mac User

Just a quick thought: The b-method is cool, nice, clean, simple, fairly easy to understand and it does make sense. The level of discrete maths to be applied in it is not to0 hard, at least yet. C is interesting, although it can be hard to write correctly. Continue reading →

The end of the semester hit me quite hard, I went on holidays planning on revising for the exams and doing coursework, and truth is I tried, but it didn’t happen. Therefore, by the time I got back everything was on top of me. Luckily it worked out quite well, I ate, drank and breathed books and Java and finally got through it. Continue reading →

Time to face week number five!

Week number four is dying; week number five is showing its face. If I think about it, I’ve only just started my degree; but I am already well submerged into it. Things get more interesting by the minute, lectures become more complex, coursework and tests become an everyday matter. For some reason, even if at times I can feel a bit desperate, it seems that it’s a good ‘stressed out’ feeling. Continue reading →

First Blog

As this is my first blog, I would like to keep it short and interesting rather than oversized and boring. At some point a few months ago, I found myself digging within this student blog trying to get some answers, trying to understand what was coming, trying to be prepared; and I have to say that it was very helpful, especially because I got the answers I was looking for.
