Throughout this module I have seen mine and my peers blogs flourish and grow which have provided some very intellectual debates and questioning. At the start of the module I completed a digital literacies self-test, in which I scored myself in different digital skills. The results of this first test can be read in my first blog post and are also included in the following table. Topic 5: Open Access to Online Content

Throughout the different posts on the blog over the past few weeks, I think I have made clear the benefit that the Web can bring to its users. One such incredibly-important way is through open access to online content. Topic 4: Summary

In the choice of topic this week, I chose to write a blog post on the digital divide. This is an important topic for me that I feel is a very important issue today. As I mentioned, the digital divide describes the difference in access or use of the Internet; such as phycsial access disparity between countries, or the difference in ability to effectively use the resources to complete a goal. Managing our online identities is fast becoming an important ability as more and more of our activities, relationships and time is spent online. Whilst the Web previously afforded a veil of anonymity to its users, increasingly the services most people use expect an at minimum semi-public and authentic online identity, or at least a partial identity (Kroski, 2012).
