Hi Anna!
Yes I understand what you're saying and I do agree with you – people SHOULD be allowed privacy. I'm just worried that the privacy boundaries of the web are slipping away. What we would perceive as our own private lives are now becoming our online identities available for the masses to see. Who knows what is happening with our details, our posts, our tweets, our drunk photos! If our employers want to see what we really do in our free time there's a good chance they could find out unless we really constrict our privacy online settings.

In regards to the holes in our identity I was referring to the people with completely different multiple identities. I believe if you have a professional profile and a personal profile online (that still represents the same person) they will all contribute to one online identity that represents you as a whole in terms of hobbies, work, interests, opinions, etc. However, people who actually create alternative identities, for example those people on catfish, there's always a chance you will be caught out… I hope that makes sense!
