Summary of Topic 1 #UOSM2008

#UOSM2008 Topic 1 Summary

I never thought that learning from a group of different people, all with their own views would be so effective. At the beginning of this module after doing my own research to write my blog post, my strongest views were that individuals could be both a ā€˜digital residentā€™ and ā€˜digital visitorā€™ dependent on which area of their life it was. Through independent research and reading other peer’s blog posts on the topic of Digital Residents and Visitors, I was able to develop my understanding and further critically analyse theĀ concept. #UOSM2008 Topic 1 – Summary

Summary for Topic oneFrom reading other students blogs and independent research, the general consensus is that this simple division between digital residents and visitors is simply not enough, and if this concept is going to be plausible there needs to be more categorisation within these fields. Users often fit into both categories due to using the services at different levels of complexity. Continue reading →
