Feedback from Topic 1
The standard of work for this topic was generally good and the use of visual elements, many self-produced, has improved too. Hoping to see more self-produced videos in the next topic though. It was great to see the use of H5P by Tom Davidson and Tom Rowledge – well done.
General Comments
It is important to research widely and deeply into the topic and then apply a critical mind to the question. Too many people missed important aspects of the topic, or just described what digital differences are rather than evaluating their impact on individual’s life chances.
There needs to be a general improvement inĀ reflective writing skills, make use of the guides I provided for you during the compulsory session we had on this a couple of weeks ago, or use your network learning skills to find some good sources to help you improve.
A few people failed to complete the self-assessment before the deadline – remember, you MUST do this for every topic.
A lot of people failed to reference the MOOC correctly (or at all) in the reference list. The MOOC will remain accessible to you all for this week and next, but will then close. It will open again in April once we return from the Easter break.
Too many blog posts and reflection pieces seem to just….stop. It is important to have a proper conclusion (even if it is only a single sentence) which draws together your argument / narrativeĀ / reflections effectively.
