Educational Development Officer for the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Southampton. I am currently working on a 12 week project with Dr Eleanor Quince and a great team of fellow interns. We are looking to develop a zero-credit, compulsory Employability Module to be rolled out to all first year Humanities students this October.

Hi everyone, Since Eleanor took a 3 week period of annual leave on August 11th, the pressure has no doubt been on for all members of the Mission Employable team to achieve as much as possible and meet the range of respective goals that we each set for Eleanor’s return at the start of September. The External Advisory Board will serve as one of the key initiatives we intend to establish alongside our module in order to improve the Employability of our students here in the Faculty of Humanities. I must confess that an aspect of this project that has been most challenging and problematic thus far, specifically concerning the creation of our module’s Blackboard site, is the need to rein in the plethora of ideas we have had regarding possible online resources to complement the module’s lecture content.
