Can you help Bright Futures?
The Bright Futures Society at the University of Southampton is dedicated to helping students find the right career paths by being their link to employers. We encourage everyone to join regardless of degree or year group, as we aim to cater for everyone’s interests. We also welcome both students who are certain of what area they will go into and the many students who have no idea which career they wish for!
Bright Futures creates events for students in which they can learn more about potential future employers and career opportunities, providing access to the vast range of career areas that are available to them. These events also provide a great chance for networking with employers and asking the questions more personal to you.
We are currently recruiting for next year’s committee. The only thing better than being a member of this outstanding society is being in the committee! You will have the chance to create amazing events, learn valuable skills, improve your employment prospects, network with as many companies as you’d like, and have fun doing it! The roles available are:
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Corporate Liaison Officer
- Events Officer
- Publicity, Promotion and Marketing Officer.
If you are interested in any of these positions, please email Jodie Keens at jk4n12@soton.ac.uk stating your two position preferences and why you believe you would be the best candidate for the role (in 500 words or less). Ideally we would also like to see your CV, however this is not compulsory. The deadline for applications is midnight on Sunday 1st April 2015.
