Decolonisation and decarbonisation of architecture; report from the Venice Biennale

PhD Seminar Series, 7 November 2024

In this week’s seminar, Dr Daniel Cid Moragas will be talking to us about the following project, which was featured at the recent Venice Biennale:

‘Following the Fish’ embraces dialogic approaches to generate decolonised and decarbonised visions from design. Through the critical and proactive look of migrant communities at the places of arrival, this project sought to resituate the places from which architecture is made and the role of architects within contexts of migration to not only decolonize architecture but also to include discussions about the environmental, decarbonizing impact, that could alter daily urban habits through privileging acts of sharing.
