Starting on this post was challenging because the topic was so broad. There was many issues I wanted to share on this blog but I decided to go with Identity theft as I thought it was one of the more daunting concerns. Through my thorough research, I found many disheartening identity theft stories and learnt about the importance of being proactive. Topic 4’s Reflective Summary

There are tons of ethical issues relevant to social media. I focused on Accuracy as I felt it was a very important aspect considering how much information we as consumers and part of a variety of audiences are presented with every day. I left comments on two classmates’ posts that had views on different specific issues. The first being on Sze Li’s blog post. I discussed two cases about social media stars being paid to promote products.While my blog post talked about the bloggers and celebrities who do reviews on almost anything, Clinton's post focused on food bloggers. I am shock to know that ladyironchef has been paid SGD$3,800 to promote a restaurant for a food operator. Continue reading →

To many of us, social media is actually a place for everyone to have fun in meeting new people as well as to connect with all our old friends that we rarely meet. With the use of social media, we get to keep in touch and see the things that are happening to our friends. Being online, we can use another identity to chat with friends that we met online.
