Upon taking this modules and researching on the weekly topics, I started appreciating the importance of developing digital literacy. My professional digital profile and digital literacy has significantly expanded over the course and thanks to this module, I have obtained in-debt knowledge about the main features of social platforms. On 6 August 1991, the web became publicly available. During that period, the web only provided screens full of text, usually in one font and font size. An online professional profile is a way of self-promotion and personal branding. It is also part of our sales and marketing toolkit. What is self-promotion? The web define self-promotion as: To publicize oneself in today’s digital age, the old fashion referral and interview is just not effective enough.
