Reflective Summary: Topic 1

I had such a great time reading different blog posts written by my classmates. Upon reading them, i have gain new insights to the topic of “digital residents” and “digital visitors”. I have previously overlooked certain points as how some “digital immigrants” can be more tech savvy than the “digital natives”. Reflective Summary – Digital Visitors & Residents

The scaffold of Digital Visitors and Residents has proved contentious.  While it appears most people have embraced it, others have remained cynical about its consistency and practice. The academic commentary throughout the framework have helped developed people’s understanding of the matter, I am no exception. Before this topic was given to me, I had no clue that digital users were categorised/labelled as “Digital Visitors/Residents” or “Digital Natives/Immigrants”. After reading a few of my classmates’ blogs, I see that most of them has presented similar findings and opinions. The most meaningful experience of this topic is when we get the opportunity to relate each’s experiences, views, and collaborate through comment with each other.
