In Denise’s blog, i have learned the importance of managing our social media as it leaves digital footprint which are permanent in the online world. Maintaining a reputable image is essential when individual is looking for a job. Great resume will unlock great doors, but these doors can close because of what we do on social media. Online Identity Digital identity is defined as how individual portray themselves in the online world. Things that are being posted and revealed online is a reflection on how one behaves in reality. Our actions online affect us directly on our reputation as it focus on what others think of us. As i mentioned in topic 2 that domain is one of the method to verify the authenticity of a given information, i have actually found that local media organizations hide part of the truth to their citizen. How do we assess the reliability and authenticity of online information? It is important that we make sure the information found online is reliable and credible. Some information or report that we found are sometimes bias to a certain extent. Hence, it is essential to widen our network in order to judge the authenticity of the news.
