It’s not Goodbye but See you later

Source: GifBlogspot Prior to this module, all my online platforms were nothing close to professional, needless to say, owning the ones I’ve recently created. Previously, it was purely for interaction with friends and keeping myself updated with their lives. Through the 5 different topics, I’ve learned more insights about the Internet, its pros and cons, as well as building on my online professional ‘image’. The Internet became somewhere I can develop and earn a future. Continue reading →

Reflection: Topic 5 – Open Access

Having taken for granted on open access, I was totally unaware of its advantages and disadvantages. I’ve spent more than half my life studying, getting resources off the Internet and even downloading them. Like many others, I’ve encountered numerous ‘restricted zones’, limiting access only if I pay a price. It’s really frustrating especially after reading part of the context. Continue reading →

What happens when this ‘free’ and ‘open’ side of the Internet isn’t so free and open?

“..That’s why I’m laying out a plan to keep the Internet free and open. Topic 2: Reflective Summary of “Multiple Identities Online”

The variety of post arguing on the topic of having multiple online identities depicts that different people do have different objectives of using the web. After reading the articles and blog posts, I’ve realised that the points I’ve made in my original post were very oriented towards myself. However, through the different views from my classmates I’ve gained some interesting knowledge. Shannon’s post was visually engaging. Continue reading →

Topic 1: Reflective Summary of “Digital Visitors” & “Digital Residents”

After spending my weekends reviewing most of my colleagues’ blog post, I get to have many different viewpoints. Most consider themselve as a “Resident” but , some find themselves as a culprit of both- the “in-between”. And one or two who doesn’t have a persona online, other than Facebook, whom claims to be a “Visitor”. It’s interesting to see how different everyone is on the web. Continue reading →
