Steve White is a PhD student in Web Science at the University of Southampton, and is a member of the MOOCs and Learning group. He is based in the Web Science Doctoral Training Centre at the university. His supervisors are Dr Su White (Associate Professor in Web and Internet Science) and Julie Watson (Principal Teaching Fellow \ Head of eLanguages).

He is researching online learning, with a particular focus on learning design, learning theory and the impact of MOOCs on educators and learning designers in Higher Education. Steve is currently researching the applicability of Socio-Technical Interaction Networks (Meyer, 2006) as a method for studying the impact of MOOCs in HE.
