Ayse Saliha Sunar is a PhD student researching on personalisation in MOOCs – specifically, boosting learners’ engagement in online discussion forums by personalising MOOC education. Ayse is part of the MOOCs and Learning research group.
She studied mathematics in her bachelor course in Turkey. Afterwards, she took a 1-year teaching course to teach mathematic to secondary school students. Then, she pursued her master study at the Graduation School of Social and Information Science, Nagoya University, Japan. She particularly researched on learning languages with the aid of intelligent tutoring systems. Her study aimed to personalise the study of each student in a small size of group. Currently, she is researching on personalisation of massive number of learners.
