Topic 1: Explain the Concept of digital “visitors” and “residents” drawing upon your own online experiences to date.

As Y and Z generations, we are so digitally inclined. We are constantly living and working on the web, it seems like our smart phone and us are inseparable. When we go on a holiday, don’t we all want to book a hotel that provides Wi-Fi? Like right now, I am updating this post using the free Wi-Fi provided by the hotel in Indonesia! Digital Literacy

Google “insert my own name” but I pause when I am about to hit the enter button. To my surprise, I find not a single trace of my past, neither any unglamorous image of myself. It was a moment of relief, as I am someone who is quite cautious about what goes online, knowing the fact that any move on the web is irrevocable. Hi, my name is Rachel and I have just graduated from poly with a Landscape Design and Horticulture Diploma this year, and now embarking on this new phase of my life in UOSMS, as a Marketing student.
