Final Thoughts

  12 days were all it took for me to transform my online identity. I used to only surf the web for mostly leisure purposes and I also had the habit of posting whatever that I was feeling, onto the Internet. I was exposed to social media at the young age of 13, and I recall having posted a lot of unhappy remarks about friends and teachers or anyone that made me upset, on my twitter account. How can we protect our identities better?

Through a couple of meaningful discussions with my friends, I came to realise that I was lacking elaboration in my post previously. Are you being authentic?

Reliability and authenticity?

I read through some of my friends’ blogs and found out many things that I was not aware of before. Firstly, I only had minimal knowledge about the impacts of filter bubbles and echo chambers, until I read Audrey’s post and learnt that our searches could give us very different results.
