#Hangout2 Summary and next steps

Here is the recording of today’s #hangout2

We introduced you to two students who are currently studying on the UK version of the module, Catherine Hunt (@catherinehunt94) and Charlie Mason (@c__mason)

We encouraged you to view the work of students on this module (#UOSM2033) but please make sure you CREDIT any contributions of theirs that you draw upon with a specific link and a reference in your own work. They may well do the same for you!

(Please note – obviously any direct copying without crediting the source is plagiarism and will be treated as such. As all the work is public and you are reading and commenting on each others work, any copying will be noticed – both across and within the two modules.)

We also introduced you to Tweetdeck as an easy way of monitoring and responding to any tweets that use the module hashtag, and showed you how to get started with your topic 1 posts.

So now we are at the end of Day 2 you should be at this point:

  • Twitter, gmail and blog set up and details advised to Olja as per the “9 Steps” diagram
  • Tutor introductory posts on the module blog and the linked documents/videos read
  • “About me” section posted on your blog and a short post commenting on your current skills audit – what aspects you intend to focus on to help build your own professional digital profiles for learning and employability purposes.

Here is the link to join tomorrow’s hangout where we will check out how you getting on with topic 1. Your answer to the set question is due for posting by the end of tomorrow (Thursday).

See you tomorrow!
