The first step

Time flies so quickly and it’s the final post for the module! Looking back at all the Google Hangout, Twitter and blog post that we have done, it is truly entertaining. Looking back at the rating I gave myself at the start and end of the module, I’m glad in the improvement that I’ve made. Through the five topics and Google Hangout that we did, I realize the importance of having an online profile. Continue reading →

All Good Things Come To An End… or NOT?!

Before embarking on this module, I didn’t place much attention on my online behavior/movements nor did I bother to understand the vast terminologies surrounding digital literacy. I assessed my Digital Literacy before the start of module and was disheartened to have only scored 18/35! SELF-TEST BEFORE MODULE STARTS   Fast-forward 3 weeks later… . Continue reading →

This marks the end of our fruitful learning journey…

“THE HARDER IT IS TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION, THE MORE YOU WILL REMEMBER THE JOURNEY”- MELCHOR  [Source: ETSY]  I would say that this module was really a whole new level of experience and exposure for me as I’ve gained plentiful insights regarding living life digitally. Despite living in the digital era, I was unaware that internet is multifaceted and is encompassed with different terminologies. Continue reading →

A Budding Flower (Final Assessment)

How I’ve Developed? Before taking this module I did not have a LinkedIn account, as I did not see the importance and necessity of it. However, after having an account of my own, I was able to understand how it can be of good use. In one platform I am able to connect to many people. In addition, I can update my achievements as I go. I can also market myself to a wide group of people. On top of that, these people could be potential employers. I did not have a twitter account. Continue reading →

Hello world!

Just to put things into perspective, before I extended any effort at all to attempt Topic 3, I saw LinkedIn as just another regular job-hunting website to me. Now, I see so much value in using it as a contributing tool to building my professional online identity and as a way to form networks with like-minded people. I’ll be using it to continually keep updated on the marketing industry and even for when I graduate and am seeking for a job in the similar field. Continue reading →

My Digital Literacy Journey

After graduating from polytechnic, I had a break. To improve myself, I applied for jobs using a document-based CV (Curriculum Vitae) – a job application instrument that my polytechnic trained me to do. Looking back, I realised how naĂŻve I was!   I’m not saying that handing in a CV for a job application is bad, I’m saying that handing in a CV is not enough. Then, my social media accounts were spewing with my private life, with hardly anything business-related. Continue reading →

Memories we share together #MANG 2049

A PowToon to illustrate my Self-test  “What? An online module..so not looking forward to it” I whined to my friends as I knew about #MANG2049. #Mang 2049 was the third module since university days started, I must admit we aren’t as close to our classmates that we will comment on each other’s work in class. Thankfully, this module gave us the opportunity to comment and learn from each other, and I  got to know more about them through the “About me” section. Continue reading →
