Learn a new language with the 1000 Words Challenge!

Speak to the Future and the online vocabulary learning provider Vocab Express have linked up to launch the ‘1000 Words Challenge’, a new national initiative which aims for everyone to learn at least 1000 words in another language. Singing in a foreign language helps people learn to speak it

The BBC has reported on a study conducted by researchers at Edinburgh University, which found that singing in a foreign language can help people recall phrases with greater accuracy. In the study, adults who listened who listened to short Hungarian phrases and then sang them back performed better than those who spoke the phrases. In one test, participants who learned through singing performed twice as well as those who learned by speaking the phrases. Continue reading →
