Future Modern Languages students to attend Routes into Languages Study Day

Over 100 Year 12 students and their teachers will be visiting the University’s Avenue Campus on Tuesday 19 January 2016 to participate in a Routes into Languages Study Day. Students will participate in sessions on cultural topics, grammar and speaking in French, German or Spanish, and will have the chance to do an ab initio session in Chinese or Portuguese. A further group of future Modern Languages students are participating in a visit day on Wednesday 9th December 2015 at the Avenue Campus to meet Modern Languages staff and students, and find out more about Modern Languages study at Southampton. Modern Languages eLearning Group launched

Modern Languages has launched a new eLearning Group. The Group has a blog which will feature the eLearning projects that our staff are engaged in, and report on our wide-ranging research and publications in this area. Some of the subjects being covered include the TwitTIAMO Project; Get Ready for Languages; free Digital Literacies learning resources, an Understanding Language: Learning and Teaching MOOC; our online MA in ELT programme and blogging from abroad.
