As semester 2 starts, we are resuming our Italy through its films screenings on Monday 28th January 2019 with The Seduction of Mimì (Mimì metallurgico ferito nell’onore) by Italian film director Lina Wertmüller, 1972. Join us on Monday 28th January, in Lecture Theatre B at Avenue Campus at 6:15pm. The film is a deliberately offensive one, with explicit sex scenes in it. Continue reading →

Get Ready for Southampton!

The eLanguages team in Modern Languages and Linguistics have launched the 2018 edition of the free online course Get Ready for Southampton. This course aims to show what life and study is like for international students at the University of Southampton, and provides an opportunity for students to network prior to arrival. Last year over 3200 students used the course, and this year over 50 students had signed up within an hour of its launch. Continue reading →
