Intercultural Connections Seminar and Café Launch 19th & 21st September

We have two free events for all staff, including PGR students, in September: Working Interculturally Seminar,Ā  Monday 19Ā September, 10 am ā€“ 1 pm in 85/2207. Here we will be presenting results of the Staff Survey, International and Intercultural Aspects of Working at the University, undertaken in April/May. Ā The presentation will be followed by discussion of the findings, and our aim is to generate concrete ideas for ways in which we can improve your experience of intercultural working. The Center for Linguistics, Language Education and Acquisition Research (CLLEAR) is pleased to announce the 14th Generative Approaches to Second Language Acquisition conference (GASLA 14) to be held at the University of Southampton, the United Kingdom on 6-9 April 2017. International PhD conference on Global Englishes 24th June

On 24 June 2016, the University of Southamptonā€™s Centre for Global Englishes held a one-day international PhD conference on Global Englishes in the Marcus Liebherr Lounge of Southampton Football Club. This conference was designed for doctoral and early postdoc students working in the research field of English as a Lingua Franca (ELF), or more broadly, Global Englishes.
