Intercultural Connections Seminar and Café Launch 19th & 21st September

We have two free events for all staff, including PGR students, in September:

Working Interculturally Seminar,  Monday 19 September, 10 am – 1 pm in 85/2207. Here we will be presenting results of the Staff Survey, International and Intercultural Aspects of Working at the University, undertaken in April/May.  The presentation will be followed by discussion of the findings, and our aim is to generate concrete ideas for ways in which we can improve your experience of intercultural working. Spaces for this event are limited to 40 people, so please register by Wednesday 14 September on Eventbrite here

For further information please go to our website or contact Jill Doubleday on intercultural@soton.ac.uk

Intercultural Staff Café launch,  Wednesday 21 September, 2 pm – 4 pm in the Nuffield Kitchen.  In collaboration with Julie Reeves of ILIaD, we’re opening up the international staff cafes to all staff, wherever you’re from, however long you’ve been here and whatever your role.  Our aim is to hold cafes across all our campuses, and at this launch event we’ll talk more about our hopes for this initiative. We’ll also have informal talks from Keith Johnstone, our new Director of International Relations and Development and Aline Giordano, our Doctoral College Manager.  You don’t need to attend for the whole two hours, but we do need an idea of numbers (for tea, coffee and cake!) so please register by Friday 16 September through Eventbrite here

For further information please go to our website or contact Jill Doubleday on intercultural@soton.ac.uk
