New publication of Case Studies of Openness in the Language Classroom launched today!

Launched today – a new volume of case studies, which showcases some of the ways in which language practitioners in different settings are engaging with the concept of openness in language teaching and learning. Contributors include no less than five University of Southampton staff. The book covers: open tools for collaboration; sharing resources; sharing practices; collaborative learning and student-generated content; and learner autonomy. Continue reading →

WorldCALL2013 starts tomorrow

The WorldCALL2013 Conference starts tomorrow in Glasgow. WorldCALL aims to enhance computer-assisted language learning (CALL) in the global community by bringing together language educators in higher education around the world. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Sustainability and CALL’. Colleagues from Modern Languages at Southampton will be attending and presenting on e-learning initiatives at the conference. WorldCALL2013 Conference, 10-13 July

The WorldCALL2013 Conference will be taking place in Glasgow from 10-13 July 2013. WorldCALL aims to enhance computer-assisted language learning (CALL) in the global community by bringing language educators in higher education around the world together. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Sustainability and CALL’.
