Practise your vocabulary with Freerice

Language learners may be interested in the free online non-profit game Freerice, which allows you to test your vocabulary in German, Spanish, French, Italian or Latin. For each item that is guessed correctly, Freerice donates 20 grains of rice to the World Food Programme (WFP). Donations from the site are used to purchase rice locally, both feeding people in need and stimulating local economies. The site has already raised enough rice to feed over 1. Continue reading →

 Thomas Seltz, Head of Jazz and Pop, reports on a fantastic visit from Liane Carroll. The jazz pianist and singer Liane Carroll took to the stage with jazz and pop performance students on Friday 20 November 2015 for a workshop prior to her amazing performance in Turner Sims with Harvey Brough and the University of Southampton Voices in Songs in the Theme of Love.
