Students numbers grow on free pre-arrival online course

Over 1,600 incoming and prospective international students are currently participating in Get Ready for Southampton, a free online course open between April and October, which enables participants to meet and make international friends, and get a taste for what life is like at the University of Southampton before coming to study. Now in its fourth year, numbers on the course this year are still climbing with expected figures to exceed last year’s record of 2,500. Continue reading →

Images and Archaeology: Introduction

Archaeologists use images in many different ways. Throughout the course of the excavation we will produce a huge variety of images including hand drawn plans, artefact photographs and pictures of our friends taken with camera phones. These images all tell us something different about the site and the people who are working there.
