Launch event for the Institute for Language and Culture: 6th November

The Institute for Language and Culture (ILC) launch event, entitled ‘New Directions for Research in Language and Culture’, will be held on Wednesday 6th November 2013 at the University of Southampton’s Avenue Campus. Highlights include: Inaugural lecture of Professor Marion Demossier Keynote presentations by external speakers Panel discussion about the future of language and culture research Poster session about current research at the ILC, led by postgraduate researchers. First CLEAR lecture of the semester

The first CLEAR (formerly CALR) lecture of the new semester is taking place on Wednesday 9th October from 5.00-6.30pm in Lecture Theatre C, Avenue Campus, University of Southampton. The session is entitled “The Effect of Construction Frequency and Native Transfer on the L2 knowledge of the Syntax-Discourse Interface” and will be presented by Professor Roumyana Slabakova from the University of Southampton.
