Transnational Stories workshop today

The next TNS workshop will take place today, Wednesday 16th October, at 4.00pm-7.00pm at the University’s Avenue Campus, Building 65, Room 1145. Professor Marion Demossier will present her research on ‘Following Grands Crus: Global Markets and Wine’, and Professor Laura Lewis on ‘Transnational Subjectivities among Young Adult US African descent Mexicans’. The Italian film, Un altro mondo (Silvio Muccino, 2010), will be showing in Lecture Theatre A, Avenue Campus, at 6.30pm on Monday 14th October 2013. Southampton and Siberia grow closer

The distant and mysterious land that is Siberia seems closer as Modern Languages at the University of Southampton furthers its links with Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) in Russia. Our collaboration began last November when TPU’s Head of Department of Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages accompanied a group of 12 academics and researchers to Southampton for an intensive 2-week English Medium Instruction (EMI) course as part of their professional development.
