It can also be used for teaching purposes by receiving institutions in the UK, or institutions overseas. Modern Languages attends English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) conference in Spain

Chris Sinclair, Director of the English Language Programme in Modern Languages at the University of Southampton, recently attended a three-day conference in Segovia, Spain on the theme of English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) in Higher Education, organised by the British Council. Attended by approximately 50 delegates, mostly from countries within the EU, a large part of the event was devoted to group discussions on themes relating to EMI. Continue reading →
