CLLEAR seminar today: ‘Inspiring teachers: Multi-Word vocabulary and literacy development in children with English as an Additional Language’

Dr Victoria Murphy from the University of Oxford will be delivering a talk today, Wednesday 5th February, for the first CLLEAR seminar of the semester. The seminar will be taking place from 5:00-6:30pm in Lecture Theatre C, Avenue Campus, at the University of Southampton, and is entitled, ‘Inspiring teachers: Multi-Word vocabulary and literacy development in children with English as an Additional Language’. English for Academic Purposes language skills support classes for international students starting Monday

A new range of classes for international students currently studying at the University of Southampton will begin in the week commencing Monday 10th February 2014. Courses are five weeks in length and include: Academic Writing Skills; Writing your Masters Dissertation; Writing your PhD Thesis; Seminar and Presentation Skills; Critical Thinking; and Everyday English. New Italian film season begins Monday

The new Italian film season at the University of Southampton begins on Monday 3rd February 2014, with a showing of ‘Il vento fa il suo giro’ (Giorgio Diritti, 2005) in Lecture Theatre A, Avenue Campus at 6.30pm. The spring season promises a selection of films to inspire and stimulate your interest in the world of cinema and Italian culture. All films are in Italian and most have English subtitles.
