Future Modern Languages students visit the University today

Around 70 potential future Modern Languages students will be visiting the University today, Tuesday 20 January 2015 for a Year 12 Languages Study Day, run by Modern Languages at the University of Southampton. The event is for Year 12 students who are thinking about studying languages at university. There are sessions on cultural topics, grammar and speaking in French, German or Spanish, plus the chance to do a taster class in a new language and attend a talk on languages and careers. Modern Languages PhD students published in special issue of SiSAL Journal

Two of our Mexican Modern Languages distance PhD students, Ma. De Lourdes Rico-Cruz and Magdalena Ávila Pardo, have contributed to a recently published special issue of SiSAL (Self-Regulation in Foreign Language Learning) Journal, with an article entitled ‘Self-Regulation within Language Learners’ Dialogues’. Modern Languages is pleased to welcome a group of academics from Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México (UAEM) who will be studying with us for one week from Monday 15 December through to Friday 19 December 2014.
