Future Modern Languages students to attend Routes into Languages Study Day

Over 100 Year 12 students and their teachers will be visiting the University’s Avenue Campus on Tuesday 19 January 2016 to participate in a Routes into Languages Study Day. Students will participate in sessions on cultural topics, grammar and speaking in French, German or Spanish, and will have the chance to do an ab initio session in Chinese or Portuguese. Don’t forget to secure your place at the 2016 LLAS e-learning symposium before the registration deadline of Monday 18th January 2016! This will be the 11th running of this popular event, which is being organised by the Centre for Language, Linguistics and Area Studies (LLAS) at the University of Southampton, and runs next Thursday and Friday (21st-22nd January). New Italian Film season launches on 25th January

Modern Languages’ new Italian film season will begin on Monday 25th January 2016 with a showing of Io sono Li (Alessandro Genovesi, 2011) in the new location of Lecture Theatre B, Avenue Campus, at 6:30pm. The spring season promises another interesting selection of films that will inspire you and stimulate your interest in the world of cinema and Italian culture.
