Modern Languages’ Professor Mary Orr to present pre-show event at the Nuffield Theatre

Professor Mary Orr from Modern Languages at the University of Southampton will be presenting a pre-show event entitled ‘The Unfaithfulness of Adaptation’, before this evening’s performance of The Massive Tragedy of Madame Bovary at the Nuffield Theatre. Modern Languages writer co-authors new book

Carmen MartĂ­n de LeĂłn (writer) from Modern Languages at Southampton and Tilman SĂĄnchez-Elsner (illustrator) from the Faculty of Medicine have co-authored “El papel higiĂ©nico y otros asuntos de suma importancia”, the first book of the series “El Mundo de Custodio”, Editorial Verbum. Custodio is an apothecary with a big family to feed, a challenge he undertakes during the Spanish “TransiciĂłn” with a “velvet fist in an iron glove”. Continue reading →
