Applications are open for the Engineering in the Coastal Environment MSc 2014/2015 programme at the University of Southampton. The coastal zone is now widely recognised as important at national, European and global levels. Skilled engineers who can understand environmental issues in such sensitive areas are in high demand. The accredited MSc Engineering in the Coastal Environment programme provides training in coastal engineering with joint emphasis on environmental and oceanographic matters and provides appropriate vocational training for interested engineers and physical scientists. The programme is uniquely provided jointly by academics from Civil Engineering, based at Highfield Campus and Ocean and Earth Science, based at the National Oceanography Centre.The programme is strongly linked to industry and focused on applied issues in the coastal zone.
