Beginnings

A simple Infographic to display the changes to my self-audit Learning outside of the common classroom setting, this module has definitely nurtured a more independent learning process. We were encouraged to conduct additional research individually to facilitate our understanding on the broad topics, while simultaneously tapping on our classmates’ opinions to uncover more unique, insightful perspectives. Intentions

Having read many posts by my classmates and especially Junwai’s Comment on my previous post, I’ve come to a conclusion that the justification of free online content should be contextualised based on creators’ intentions. As Education and Arts Industry are hot subjects for this topic, I’ll share my research and thoughts on them. As Yixin shared in her post, students like us generally have low disposable incomes. Are you willing to pay?

Many of us grew up with digital gadgets and abundant sources of information. To be a little crude, aren’t we digital spoilt brats? Should we put an end to this ‘free for all’ culture? Online pay-walls has been on the rise lately, with prices tagged on scientific research papers, music and etc. Creators wants their creation to be protected and valued. Fair Play

Given that most of my classmates ventured into different topics of this broad topic, there’s certainly lots of valuable information and knowledge to takeaway. Some of which I can even personally relate to! Kicking start with Patrick’s blog post as he ventured into on the same topic with a slightly different approach. Nicole’s blogpost on the creation of LinkedIn accounts brought a very focused view to the topic at hand, by going into the specifics of creating a professional account. Continue reading →

It seems like there are many different viewpoints on this topic. I’ve had a wonderful time reading my classmates’ unique takes on this argument which some points presented were lacking on my part. Good things should be shared! Patrick’s Blog Standing out from the rest is Patrick’s concrete illustration of real-life examples. Majority of the blogs that I’ve came across presented a theory-based argument which may bore readers. Continue reading →

Who am I?

Similar to Corporate Marketing, as individuals we are constantly consciously/subconsciously managing our own brand identities. All of our social media profiles form our unique personal online identities. The adoption of a single online identity refers to the integration of all the individual’s existing social media profiles. For example, as seen from above, using the same username for Facebook, Blogs, Instagram and Twitter. Continue reading →

Reflections

After reading through most of my classmates’ blog, I’ve realised that there’s so much I’m lacking of and so much to learn from. It’s pretty amazing and interesting to watch how they got creative with their blog layouts, styles and content. I’m honestly very inspired by many of their work! Among all the blog posts, the two that I’ve commented on, each have its unique take on this given topic. Continue reading →
