Professor Ulrike Meinhof has been awarded a grant under the AHRC’s Follow-on-Funding scheme worth £100,216 for her project ‘Madagascar in the World: the impact of music on global concerns’.
The project will start on 1 December 2015, and its purpose is the co-production (with the Parisian film company Laterit) of a film, working title ‘Songs for Madagascar’, and its international dissemination at film festivals and through workshops. The research on which this is based is Professor Meinhof’s large AHRC research grant for the TNMundi project in the Diaspora Migration and Identity programme (2006-2010).
