Kate Rychert has just been announced as the 2015 winner of the Fowler Award of the Royal Astronomical Society. This award is given to an individual who has made a particularly noteworthy contribution to Astronomy or Geophysics at an early stage of their research career. Kate has been recognised for her work on developing a range of geophysical methods to investigate the lithosphere-asthenosphere boundary. Kate will be formally presented with her award and a £500 prize at the National Astronomy Meeting in Llandudno in July.
