Week One at the Basing House Excavation

This year, alongside staff from the Universities of Southampton and York and volunteers from Basingstoke Archaeological and Historical Society, we have a fantastic group of undergraduate students from the University of Southampton learning all about archaeological fieldwork. The students are a mixture of first and second years, and are studying degrees in Archaeology or Archaeology with History. Integrating Types of Archaeological Data – Dan’s Major Project

Dan Joyce, our trench supervisor for the 2013 summer field season last year, has written a blog post to summarise his major dissertation project. Dan studied the University of Southampton Masters in Archaeological Computing last year, which he completed at the end of 2013 (well done Dan from the Basing House team!!!)! Memory Institutions and the Web Poster at Web Science Institute Research Week

Last week the Web Science Institute hosted its annual Research Week at the Royal Society. I was unable to attend the event, but did submit a poster to be displayed alongside other Web Science Doctoral Training Centre postgraduate students’ work. You can download my poster from Scribd.
