Changes to Blackboard Analytics reporting
We’ve been using Google Analytics (GA) to monitor our VLE service since July 2013. Whilst GA is used to monitor many University services the Blackboard team are the only one to share that information in the spirit of openness and fairness in a post-Snowden world.
We publish monthly reports that cover interesting elements of the data and make it freely available to all. This month we have dropped some sections and introduced some new ones.

(How Well) Are You Being Served? Teaching Support Ticket Resolutions Stats – July 2015
iSolutions uses ITIL processes as part of its Service Management. We organise our processes in a way informed by ITIL, and provide reports on how well we met our stated aims. The main way that our users interact with us is through the Incidents and Service Requests they raise via ServiceLine. We have targets to resolve 90% of Service Requests and Incidents within a set target time measured in elapsed minutes.
Enable “Terms” to make your Blackboard course list more manageable
After using Blackboard for more than a year you may find that your My Courses list becomes cluttered.
The “terms” feature will set your My Courses box to show your modules under groupings such as the Academic Year when the course was taught.

Mirroring tablets in CLS spaces
It’s been almost two years since we were asked how to mirror tablets in CLS spaces and until this point it’s been exceptionally difficult. Most devices presume you are on a home wifi network, or at least a corporate network where wireless and wired traffic can see either other.

It’s also a great way to find out what is going on in and around the University. Wouldn’t it be great if there was an easy way to find out all the twitter accounts related to the University of Southampton?
Release of Panopto statistics
We love data here in MLE. We already release the workstation availability data used by open data and use even more open data in apps like MySouthampton. Last week we released a different type of information.
Panopto has some detailed statistics within it. If you are an instructor on a course you can see some detailed graphs for your videos using the Stats button (http://support.panopto.com/documentation/video-management/viewing-folder-statistics), but until now it’s been difficult to see how the entire service has been performing. Last week we released daily statistics for views, unique viewers and hours viewed for the entire site going back 5 years. More
