The web-based project Schenker Documents Online, which received a major grant from the AHRC and was based at the University of Southampton from 2011 to 2014, has been awarded a new grant amounting to €300,000 from the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) for a further three years, beginning in July 2014. The principal grant-holder is the University of Music and the Performing Arts in Vienna, and much of the research will be carried out there by Prof. Martin Eybl and Dr. Marko Deisinger (one of our AHRC-funded research assistants). Many members of the English team of researchers will continue to work with their Viennese partners; these include:
Prof. William Drabkin, Music (translator and English team co-ordinator)
Prof. Andrea Reiter, Modern Languages (translation consultant)
Dr. Kirstie Hewlett, Music (encoding assistant)
Dr. David Bretherton, Music (computing consultant)
The consultant in the AHRC-funded phase of the project, Professor Ian Bent, will continue in his role as the overall co-ordinator of the SDO website.
