General feedback on Topic 4
There was a broad range of possible topics to choose from and collectively you have covered a variety of ethical issues around business or educational applications of social media. It is clear that you have also learned a lot from reading and commenting on the work of your colleagues with different viewpoints.
Some of you have started to “coast” a little bit, now that you’ve got the hang of how it all works. I’ve made a number of comments encouraging you to try something a little different in the final topic….get out of the comfort zone!
Please take note of the feedback, which we provide very promptly at the end of each topic. It is disappointing when suggestions made against previous topics is apparently not responded to the next time.
For some extra advice on how to improve for the last topic, have a read of this advice we gave students previously;
Finally, I am concerned that there is still little evidence in some cases of the development of your own professional online profiles on Twitter and LinkedIn for the other assessed task. Many of you have not yet connected your profiles on these sites to your blog. You were advised at the start that this aspect needed to be worked on throughout the module, not just at the last minute. There is really not much time left to address this!
Please make sure you are aware of the requirements and the criteria for this task by going through the links and documents on the study guide page.
