STUDENTS AS CREATORS AND CHANGE AGENTS PROJECT: REDESIGNING THE LEVEL 1 BUSINESS & MANAGEMENT CURRICULUM
Opportunity for 10 days paid project work in the Easter break for 4 students (with follow up as an Excel whole summer project to one successful candidate)
How would you like to help us design the structure and content of 4 new level 1 Business modules? You will be working with a small team of staff and fellow students on such tasks as
Drawing upon published research into contemporary online/offline learning styles and school leaver expectations of university study
· Collecting the viewpoints of your colleagues who have experienced level 1 study, on what they liked/disliked, would like more/less of.
· Based on the above, proposing and testing ideas for possible structures/focus/content of the new modules
· Developing digital aids to effective study, for example beginner guides to blogging and tweeting, tools for storing, managing and evaluating online information, use of curation tools such as Pinterest and Spotify, creating and editing video using free tools, editing Wikipedia etc
· Developing interactive exercises for class completion/discussion (as per MOOCs)
