Over that past few weeks a number of changes have been made to the Systems & Services CI Record form in ServiceNow in order to improve the information it can contain.
- Removal of a number of redundant fields and replacing all but one of the HTML ones with plain text fields to improve loading time.
- Creation of a ‘Service Lifecycle’ tab with an embedded related list for “Service Lifecycle Portfolio Projects” and added fields for “Service Go Live date”, “Last DR Test Date” & “Projected Retirement Date”.
- Added a ‘Developer’ field to record, where required, the name of the developer of the system or service.
- Added additional ‘Types’ of “Support” and “Schools & Faculties” as an aid to reporting.
- Remove mandatory fields and added a “None” option to ‘Business Criticality’ for use with retired Systems & Services.
- Hiding the ”Model ID” field once a System & Service CI record has been saved.
