Neville Gabie’s Iceberg Project

Dr Patrick James and Dr Neil Richardson supported artist Neville Gabie on his iceberg project at the Tatton Park Biennial which features an iceberg transported from Greenland to the UK. SERG helped with the development and installation of the cooling mechanism used for keeping the iceberg frozen. Electricity is generated via a photovoltaic array which drives a propane chilling unit using pond water as heat exchanger.
