SERG delivers 6 papers at the 2nd Asian Wave and Tidal Energy Conference

Posted on 1st August, 2014

Members of the Sustainable Energy Research Group recently delivered six papers covering several aspects of tidal energy at the 2nd Asian Wave and Tidal Energy Conference in Tokyo. The conference was held in conjunction with the Grand Renewable Energy International Conference and Exhibition covering all aspects of renewable energy from wind and solar, to micro grids. Professor Bahaj also delivered a paper on the Energy for Development project with the details of the presented papers below.

Professor AbuBakr Bahaj
, Dr Luke Myers, Dr Tom Blackmore, Mr Khilan Shah, Mr Brad Keogh and Mr Danny Coles attended the conference and presented some of the latest work from the Sustainable Energy Research Group on tidal energy. The papers covered experimental work on blockage effects and channel aspect ratio, the effects of turbulence on mean loads and wakes, multiple row arrays, and the numerical modelling of large scale arrays. Further details of the presented papers are below.
