Not sure if your research contributes to Sustainability? We think it does.

By Rebecca Thomas |

Yesterday, we were out on the Redbrick on Highfield Campus asking students what their dissertation topics were, and whether they were related to sustainability. So many of you thought your ideas had nothing to do with being sustainable, that we figured we should clarify a few things!…

Sustainability covers social, political, and cultural issues, not just environmental ones! Basically, anything that encouraged society/ the world to develop in a positive way.

Examples of topics that University of Southampton students are researching are listed below, hopefully this will give you a better idea of how much the umbrella term sustainability really covers. If you’re still unsure then apply to present anyway, and we’ll email you if you would like to discuss you’re idea further.
