The Energy and Climate Change Division and the Sustainable Energy Group were instrumental in the development and hosting of the 1st Isle of Wight Environmental Conference (IOWEC) held at Cowes Yacht Haven on Tuesday 26th June 2018, 09.30 – 16.30.
Prof Bahaj gave a keynote presentation entitled “Sustainable Energy: Options for the Isle of Wight”. Dr Wu contributed to the workshops. The conference organised by the Isle of Wight Council had the aim to create a platform for stakeholders working on the energy and environmental sectors to better discuss key issues regarding the future development of the island. The conference was attended by around 180 delegates.
