Computing at Schools:
The University of Southampton is proud to be the hub of CAS (computing at schools) Hampshire- a regular meet up by teachers interested in sharing tips and tricks for teaching Computer Science subjects at school. We have nick named these informal and useful sessions: ‘computing and cake’. We currently host meetings twice a term where teachers bring in hints and tips for teaching computer science, share challenges and explore how to encourage more young people to take STEM subjects at college and degree level. This is also your chance to meet with experts in the field of computer science and visit the University of Southampton’s computer science facilities. Please google for CAS Hampshire to find out for when our next meeting is. We would be delighted if you could join us. We provide cake, coffee and the space at no cost. We have also hosted a hugely popular CAS Hampshire conference, where over 300 teachers attended. It would be great to see you there at our next one. Please get in touch if you are interested in either of the above opportunities.
* Careers Events:
We are very excited to be invited to school open days and career events. We are able to do this with a bit of notice. We will come equipped with freebies, leaflets and lots of information about careers and our courses.
