The DARPA independent government panel has announced the finalists for the fly-off at Fort Stewart, Georgia, USA (10-20 May 2012): http://www.suasnews.com/2012/03/13564/uav-forge-competition-fly-off-finalists-announced/ The only entrants from the UK are both from Middlesex University: Team HALO SQ-4 Recon (collaboration with BCB International Ltd)

 The Live Fly Demo phase has just been completed and there are now only 20 teams in the competition: 10% Single Rotor, 10% Tandem rotor/Co-Axial, 35% Quadrotor, 10% Quadrotor (Tailsitter), 10% Hybrid Rotor/Fixed Wing 20% Hexrotor/Y6, 5% Octorotor.
